General

Terassikeli is a free service that shows on a map which terraces are in the sun. The service is provided by Lutra Labs (sole trader, business ID 3641088-8). By using the service you accept these terms.

The service is free

Using the service is free and requires no account or payment. Buying a beer (see below) is entirely voluntary and is not a condition for using the service.

Nature of the data

Information about terraces, buildings and venues is compiled from public open sources, such as open city datasets, the National Land Survey of Finland, OpenStreetMap, the national alcohol-licence register, and weather data from Open-Meteo.

The data may be incomplete, out of date or incorrect. The sun and shadow calculation is based on building and tree data and does not account for e.g. parasols, awnings or backyard trees, so conditions on site may differ. Check opening hours, alcohol service and other essential details directly with the venue. You use the service and its data at your own risk.

Buying a beer (voluntary support)

You may support the service by "buying a beer". This is voluntary support that is not a condition for using the service and does not provide any product, benefit or service in return.

It is a one-time, fixed-price purchase (€2.90, €4.90 or €6.90), with the payment handled by Stripe. It is a fixed-price item, not a donation or a money collection.

Because the support is voluntary and involves no product to be delivered, payments are generally non-refundable. If there is a problem with a payment, contact info@terassikeli.fi.

Rights and source licences

The look, name and implementation of the service belong to its author. The open datasets used in the service are subject to their source licences: OpenStreetMap and the base map under the ODbL licence, and the city datasets, the National Land Survey of Finland and Open-Meteo under the CC BY 4.0 licence. Sources and licences are credited in the service, and any further use of the datasets must comply with these licences.

Acceptable use and user content

Do not misuse the service, for example by disruptive load, automated scraping or unlawful activity. You are responsible for the comments and other content you submit: do not post unlawful or offensive content, or content that violates another person’s privacy. By submitting content you grant permission to display it in the service. The operator may remove content and restrict access.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided as is, without any warranty of availability or accuracy of the data. To the extent permitted by law, the provider is not liable for damages arising from use of the service or from errors in the data. This does not limit rights that consumers have under mandatory law.

Governing law and disputes

The service and these terms are governed by Finnish law. As a consumer, you may refer a dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi).
